Ancient Greece- Inquiry Study
The focus of this unit is for the students to explore topics from Ancient Greece that interest them. Students are to complete an inquiry study on at least three topics. Students can choose the way in which they present their inquiry; although this should be negotiated with the teacher. Possible ways to present the inquiry study include- report, oral presentation, performance, web site etc.
an inquiry study is all about asking questions. Students should look at the topics and ask questions. When did it happen? where did it happen? What happened? How did it happen and why did it happen? Who was involved? What was the impact?
In the true socratic tradition, questions should lead to further questions.
In answering these questions, students will uncover information and facts on Ancient Greece. It is this information that will form the basis of the presentation. Click the link below for more information about how to conduct an inquiry.
